Meet Mannie Canto

Mannie is a motivational speaker and engineer who has traveled the country and achieved great success but his greatest joy is his family. He resides in Orlando Florida, with his wife Ileana , and their two children, Olivia and Manuel Andres. The couple has been happily married for 5 years. Mannie holds his family dear and considers them his top priority. When he's not traveling and delivering speeches, he dedicates his undivided attention to his family.

Mannie's Story

Mannie Canto's life story is one of perseverance and determination. Despite facing setbacks early on, Mannie never gave up on his dreams of success. With a .7 GPA, Mannie was forced to leave university after losing his car and apartment. His father's intervention and the lessons he had learned throughout his life inspired Mannie to turn his life around.

He began by finding work at an apartment complex and taking on multiple jobs to support himself. Mannie enrolled in a local community college and later transferred to Southern University, where he played football and pursued a degree in electrical engineering. During his time at Southern, Mannie interned with Baker Hughes as a test engineer and served as the lead tutor for the athletics department, teaching math, engineering, and physics.

Mannie graduated with honors and a 3.4 GPA, and he went on to work as a system integration engineer at Raytheon Missile Systems in Tucson, Arizona before moving on to Lockheed Martin in Orlando, Florida, where he began as a systems engineering manager and eventually transitioned to a program manager.

Throughout his career, Mannie has shared his story and motivated others to pursue their dreams. He has spoken to multiple Vice Presidents at his company and regularly speaks and volunteers at schools, teaching students about careers in STEM fields. Mannie is also a regular speaker at the University of Central Florida's engineering seminar class. His determination and dedication to his career and the community make him an inspiration to those around him.
